Thanks to some outstanding support from the ABF (Australian Baseball Federation) the TBAWA are pleased to be able to announce the Tee-Ball Have A Go Day will take place on Sunday 1st of September between 10.30 am & 5 pm. Venue, Langley Reserve, Riverside Drive Perth City.
The TBAWA would like to thank the ABF National Participation Manager Justin Drew and TBAWA Patron Geoff Hooker for whom without their driving support this event may not have been possible.
This will be the biggest non competition Tee-Ball event ever to have been organised in W.A.
The event has become a reality thanks to the financial backing of the ABF, plus support from Perth Heat, Major League Baseball Events, Baseball WA, WA little League and Fielders Choice.
The day will have a carnival atmosphere with bouncy castles and rides for the younger children.
All children, including current and future Tee-Ball players are welcome.
There will be fourteen marquees set up on the oval to house club representatives who will be available to answer any questions on Tee-Ball and register prospective new players from their areas.
The first one hundred new players to register on the day will receive a free Aussie T-Ball pack.
There is to be four working diamonds where children can join in a game.
WA Little League will be putting on demonstration games of regular baseball and machine pitch.
The Tee-Ball Association's new batting cages will be in use for the first time allowing three players to have batting practice at the same time.
A commentated celebrity Tee-Ball game involving Perth Heat, Softball WA, and some other special guests will take place between 3 and 4 pm (celebrities to be announced soon)
A major draw for the event will be the participation of MLB Events (Major League Baseball Events) .
MLB will be running several stands for players to participate in. This is the first time the MLB have been involved in an event to this extent in Perth.
